This portrait was drawn in a dark setting with very dim lighting. I could barely see which color I was applying, always having to test it on the lower right corner first.
I find drawing in the dark much more satisfying than in the light. Then I'm not able to judge my mistakes to the same extent, constantly thinking "ok, this is close enough!". And it's always a cool surprise to turn the lights back on!
